Hi guys! Welcome to Running up a Mountain!! I’m Sierra and I am here to help y’all reach your goals while learning to love the journey, process, and climb. In order to fully appreciate the view, you need to appreciate the climb just as much! So many individuals want to reach the top of their mountain and have a great view, but are not willing to take the first step and endure the obstacles and climb. BUT……that does not have to be you! After reading my blogs, you can learn how to appreciate the climb and reach the top of your mountain.

What you can Expect

Whether the top of your mountain is to live a healthier life, be more productive, or reach your fitness goals, I will be here along your climb, helping you throughout your journey! You will learn to appreciate the climb just as much as the view and enjoy the process that is needed to reach your goals.

In order to start your climb, you need to take the first step. The first step to reach the top of your mountain is to find out what is at the top of your mountain! Think about what you want to accomplish and succeed when you reach the top. Then, take the first step.

Find your goal. Take the first step. Appreciate the climb.

How Bad Do You Want It?

Hey y’all! Welcome to today’s blog post! I hope you enjoy and will subscribe.

“Everybody wants the product but no one wants the process.” -Inky Johnson

I could not agree with this quote anymore. How many times have you said you wanted something, but did nothing to achieve that? You really wanted an A, but didn’t study. You really wanted to get in shape, but didn’t exercise. You really wanted to wake up earlier, but didn’t go to sleep early.

Inky Johnson is a firm believer in working for what you want. He has said that you shouldn’t wish for something harder than you work for it. It’s one thing to say you want something, but it’s another thing to work for it.

On the days that you feel like doing nothing, ask yourself how bad do you truly want it. How far are you willing to push? How hard are you willing to train? The days you don’t want to do something but still do are the days champions are made.


We all need to stop coming up with excuses to not do something. Because, if we really wanted it, we would work for it.

New Month, New Goals

Hey y’all! Welcome to this week’s blog post. I hope you enjoy and will subscribe!!

HAPPY SEPTEMBER! I love love love this month because it’s the start of fall, football season, and it’s one month closer to Christmas LOL.

This year is flying by! Those goals we made in September may be a distant thought now. Well, it’s not too late to change that!! GO AFTER YOUR GOALS!!!! You have time ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have already achieved your new years resolutions, here are 5 more simple things you can try to do. I’m challenging you to pick at least one!

  • Fix your sleep schedule
    • Prioritize waking up earlier and going to bed at a decent hour. You can get sooo much done
  • Journal
    • This helps with your mental health!!
  • Be active for at least 15 minutes every day
  • Call or text someone you love everyday
    • Life isn’t promised. Reach out to those you care about.
  • Pick up for 5 minutes at least
    • If you pick up your area everyday, it’ll never get that bad!

Hey guys! Happy Sunday! This past week has been CRAZY!! We had our first football game on Thursday and it was A LOT of fun! Bu then, Friday I was exhausted at school. But it was all worth it :). Today, I’m going to be talking about anger. Enjoy!

A lesson I’ve recently learned is that being angry is useless. An African Proverb once said, “Anger is a punishment we give ourselves for someone else’s mistake.” That quote really made me realize that being angry does not benefit you.

Life is short. Every minute you spend being angry is 60 seconds of your life wasted. People can be rude, annoying, and unreasonable, but you should never let them ruin your day.

So next time you get upset, smile, nod your head, and know how amazing you are! Don’t let others have that much power over your emotions and day!

New Chapters

Hey y’all! Welcome to this week’s post. I hope you enjoy and will subscribe!

GUYS! I start high school tomorrow ://///. I’m super excited but nervous! Comment when you go back to work or school!

As I was thinking about this next chapter of my life, I realized something. I don’t really like change. I’m sure most of y’all can relate, however the question is, why don’t we? Why would we rather everything stay the same?

Picture this: every day you wake up at the exact same time, do the exact same things, eat the exact same meals, and so on. That doesn’t sound like a very fun life to me. If that was my life, I would be longing for something different to happen.

CHANGE IS NOT BAD! In fact, change is needed in order to live a plentiful life. Life would be sooooo boring if nothing changed. Yes, change can be scary, but in the end it can be amazing โค

In order to grow as humans, we need to be out of our comfort zone. I know, such a common quote, but it’s SO true!! Nothing changes if nothing changes ๐Ÿ™‚

The Truth About Going Back to Work/School

Hey y’all! Welcome to today’s blog post. I hope you enjoy and will subscribe!

So many of y’all may have not had summer off due to work, had summer off and are now going back to work, or now going back to school. That can come with manyyyyy different emotions.

It’s normal to not want to go back to school or work. But, think about how blessed we are to be able to do so. People all over the world are wishing they’d be able to do what we are complaining about.

Hey y’all! Welcome to today’s post. Happy August!! New month…. new goals!!!!!!!

How is it already AUGUST!!! This month is going to be so hectic but very fun for me! School is starting and so is cheer! ๐Ÿ™‚ This is also going to be my last month of posting 3x a week :(. Starting September, I’m going to be posting 1 or 2x a week!


Here are 5 challenges! I’m challenging you to pick at least one and stick to it the whole month of August. Comment which challenge you’re going to crush!

  1. Drink at least 8 cups of water per day
  2. Be active for at least 10 minutes every day
  3. Make your bed every day
  4. Journal
  5. Do something for yourself

Get To Know Me!

Hey y’all! Welcome to Fun Friday. Today, I am going to be answering some basic get to know me questions! Enjoy!!

Question: What’s my favorite muscle group to train?

Answer: Upper body! Probably biceps or shoulders

Question: What are some of your hobbies?

Answer: I like to exercise, practice cheerleading, and watch Disney+

Question: Favorite show or movie?

Answer: Favorite show is Hannah Montana, and fav movie is…… Hannah Montana :)))))))

Question: Workout Routine?

Answer: I start off with biking 20 minutes and then I’ll do weight lifting for around 25 minutes. Occasionally, I’ll do abs for 5 minutes haha

Question: How often do you workout?

Answer: I try to workout 4-6 times a week. Usually, Monday is for biceps and back, Tuesday for quads, Wednesday is cardio, Thursday is for triceps and shoulders, and Saturday is full body.

Question: Siblings?

Answer: I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Shoutout too Josiah because he is probably reading this hahha. I also am a dog mom to the CUTEST dog everrrrrrrrrr โค

Answer: Definitely possums they are SO UGLY and weird. Last time I saw one, I cried. I’ll do your eyes a favor and not put a pic hahahah.

Question: If you could get 1st at the Olympics in a random event, what would it be?

Answer: Eating ๐Ÿ™‚ hahahah

Question: What is my dream job?

Answer: I want to be an entrepreneur and have my own fitness clothing line and workout programs. I also want to have a workout app and podcast along with this blog!

Hey y’all! Enjoy this 10 minute high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout!

Do each exercise for 45 seconds with a 15 seconds rest!

  • ice skaters

It’s pretty common to have insecurities and some days feel bad about yourself. Sometimes you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see. But something I learned is that everything is just in your head. The things you don’t like about yourself are probably unnoticeable to others.

I have to tell myself that in 100 years, nothing will even matter. No one will care/remember if you were overweight, skinny, had acne, or had perfect skin. What matters most is how you treated other’s and made them feel. You will be remembered by your actions, not your looks.

For me, I have rosy cheeks when I exercise or get too hot. If I wanted to, I could barely go outside and never exercise to prevent my face from getting red. But, I would be giving up something I enjoy and love doing. Don’t let your insecurities stop you from doing and being GREAT!
