THE WORKOUT:

  • lateral raise to forward raise
  • bent over row
  • renegade row
  • bicep curl to shoulder press
  • pushups AMRAP

REPEAT 2X!

Just Smile :)

Hey y’all! Welcome to today’s blog post. I hope you enjoy and will subscribe!!

Earlier this week I was painting and I had a clear image of how I wanted it to turn out. Long story short it did not turn out the way I wanted it to AT ALL.

Don’t come for me I know it’s bad hahaha

When I was writing “smile” on the canvas, I realized that things aren’t always going to turn out how you expected them too. And guess what? That’s okay!!! Just smile regardless. 🙂

Yes, my painting is not the best and definitely not what I was going for, but in the end it was fine and I was fine. Just because things don’t turn out how you hope doesn’t mean you failed. It just means there was a different plan, a better one. You see if I would have never painted a bad painting, then I would not be writing this post about how it’s ok for things to turn out differently. Then, I would have no ideas on what to write about. Then, there would be no post for today! See, everything works out!!!

Whatever happens, just smile through it and know something good is ahead. 🙂

Even if your situation is way more important than a bad painting, you should STILL smile and acknowledge the fact that something better is in store.

JUST SMILE!!!!

  • Swimming Competition
    • Race your family or friends to see who’s the best swimmer
  • Dive
    • I need to practice diving wayyyyyyy more
  • Handstand Competition
    • See you can hold a handstand the longest. I always beat my sister lol
  • ABC Gymnastics Challenge
    • Go through A-Z and think of a flip that matches the letter!
  • Marco Polo
    • This one is a classic
  • Category Game
    • Think of a specific thing from the category and dip the other player until they guess correctly
  • Underwater Tea Parties
    • Tea time!
  • Exercise
    • Swimming is a great form of exercise!!
  • Chicken Fight
    • This game gets INTENSE!!
  • Pool Floatie Race
    • This is like a swimming race, but on floaties hahaha

Don’t forget to drink your water, apply sunscreen, and have a pool side snack. My fav is a fruit platter!

Core Circuit- Workout Wednesday

Hey y’all! Welcome to Workout Wednesday. Today, I am going to be sharing a quick core circuit you can do from your house. Enjoy!!

THE WORKOUT:

Circuit #1

  • oblique crunches
  • high knees
  • shoulder taps
  • full sit ups
  • burpees

REPEAT 2X!

Circuit #2

  • all around the world crunches
  • alternating toe taps
  • plank jacks
  • heisman
  • bicycles

REPEAT 2X!

*Having visible abs is not always realistic for some people so instead of striving for a perfect 6 pack, strive for a stronger core*

Also, you CAN’T spot reduce fat!!! Don’t just do 100 crunches and expect to see a six pack.

Happy Father’s Day!

Motivation vs. Discipline

Hey y’all! Welcome to today’s post. Today, I am going to be writing about motivation and discipline. Enjoy!!

MOTIVATION: being inspired, usually for a shorter time, not always

DISCIPLINE: showing up when you don’t want to, commitment to something

Have you ever found yourself searching up on google “motivational quotes”?

I definitely have. I’ve also searched up “motivational quotes for when you don’t want to do something.” One of the many quotes was:

It was in that moment that I realized motivation means absolutely nothing if you aren’t disciplined. It is SO EASY to be motivated for a day, week, or even a month. But what happens when you aren’t feeling motivated anymore? You quit? Give up?

This is where discipline comes in. Motivation will not last very long. In order to achieve your goals, you need to be disciplined. Show up when you’re tired, when it’s too hot, when you don’t want to.

In order to be great, you have to show up. It won’t matter if you read 100 motivational quotes if you aren’t disciplined. STAY DISCIPLINED! SHOW UP!!
